Design and build in Example Town

Thoughtful buildings, built properly

We design, build and renovate homes and workplaces, with one team from the first sketch to the final handover.

Why one team

From drawing board to keys, without the hand-offs

When the people who draw your project also build it, decisions are quicker and nothing gets lost between the plans and the site.

You have one contact from the first visit to the day you move back in.

  • A clear, written quote before work starts
  • Planning and Building Regulations handled for you
  • Tidy sites and agreed working hours
  • Regular updates while we are on site

How we work

  1. Step 1: Free first visit

We come round, listen to what you want and look at what is possible.

  2. Step 2: Design and quote

Drawings, options and a written quote you can compare.

  3. Step 3: Approvals

Planning, Building Regulations and party wall notices where they apply.

  4. Step 4: Build

A planned programme, one site lead and regular updates.

  5. Step 5: Handover

A final walk-round, certificates and a tidy finish.

Questions people ask

Do I need planning permission?

It depends on the project and the property. Many extensions and loft conversions fall under permitted development; we check before any design work starts and tell you which route applies.

Can you draw the plans if someone else builds?

Yes. Our architectural design service can stop at drawings and approvals, and we can prepare a tender package for other builders.

Can we stay at home during the work?

Often, yes. We plan the order of work so kitchens and bathrooms are out of action for as short a time as possible, and we agree it with you before we start.

How do quotes work?

After the first visit we send a written, itemised quote. Anything that changes later is agreed in writing before it is done.
